- Mrs. Eleonore E. Craft, 84 of Sanborn, NY, died Tuesday July 3, 2007, in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Sanborn on January 17, 1923, the daughter of John and Eleonore [ Fahrnwald ] Pfohl. She attended LaSalle High School and Trott Vocational School. Eleonore was a life long member of St. Peter Lutheran Church-Walmore, in Sanborn, NY.
She had worked for the Jonas and Martha Haseley Muck farm for several years and for Moore Business Forms, for many years. She married Gilbert Goeseke, on July 22, 1950, and they moved to Newstead, NY, where she was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Gilbert predeceased her on December 15, 1961.
She was married to Edwin Werth, on June 15, 1966, when they returned to the Sanborn area, he died on November 15, 1971. On September 16, 1978 Eleonore married Raymond Craft and they were married for six years, prior to his death on August 9, 1984.
Survivors include a son, Russell [ Barbara ] Goeseke of Town of Wheatfield, stepsons, Ronald [ Marlene ] Craft, Galen [ Nancy ] Craft, step daughter-in-law Dolores Werth, a granddaughter, Melissa Goeseke, step grandchildren Michael Werth, Cheryl Werth, Jeffery Craft, Mark Sydor, Robin Sydor, Scott Sydor, 4 step great grandchildren, a sister, Lizzie [ Marcus ] Haseley, of Sanborn, and many nieces and nephews.
She was the step mother of the late Robert Werth, and sister of the late Minnie Kroening, Martha Haseley, Verone Haseley, Sigmund Pfohl, Rev. John Pfohl, Louis A. Pfohl and Max Pfohl.
The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, SANBORN, 5893 Hoover Road, from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM, Friday. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 AM, at the St. Peter Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, Sanborn, with the Rev. Bruce M. Gamache, officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Newstead, NY. Flowers gratefully declined, should friends desire memorials may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church or Niagara Hospice.
