A retired carpenter for the Carborundum
Co., where he was employed
30 years, Philip A; Williams,
75, of 1631 Weston Ave., died yesterday
(Aug. 25, 1955) at Memorial
Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born in Sanborn, be came to this
city 48 years ago. He had been
retired for about 10 years. He and
his wife, Mrs. Hedwig Williams,
celebrated their golden wedding an
niversary last May.
He was a member of St. Paul's
Lutheran Church and a charter
member of the brotherhood of that
church.
In addition to his wife, he is
survived by a son and a daughter,
Clarence R. Williams and Mrs. Arthur
T. Schultz, both of this city;
a brother, Ferdinand Williams,
Lockport, and three sisters, Mrs.
plans to arrange within the next John Proefrock, Tonawanda; Mrs.
Helena Lindke, Buffalo, and Mrs.
Rudolph Milleville, this city. Two
grandchildren, Joan and Marcia.
Williams, also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday-
at 2:30 p.m. at the Cornell
and Daggett Funeral Chapel and
at 3 p.m. at St. Paul's Church. The
Rev. Evan J. Bartell will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery,
Bergholtz.
