Retired accountant had 21-year second career
NIAGARA FALLS - Edgar L. Schultz, 87, of Weston Avenue, died Dec. 21, 1993, at Niagara Falls Memorial Nursing Home after a short illness. A native of Niagara Falls, Schultz was born June 17, 1906, the son of Lebrecht and Auguste (Voelker)
He was employed as an accountant for more than 30 years with various businesses in Niagara Falls and enjoyed a second career with the Maid of the Mist Corp. for 21 years.
He was a member of St. Paul Calvary Lutheran Church.
In 1990, Mr. Schultz was recognized by Channel 7 as an Outstanding Senior Citizen.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Meyer) Schultz of Niagara Falls; two sons, Peter M. Schultz of Oswego and Jonathan M. Schultz of Lewiston; a brother, Alfred Schultz of Niagara Falls; a sister, Esther Greinert of North Tonawanda; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Cyril Burnyak will conduct services at 10 a.m. today at the Rhoney Funeral Home, 1124 Ontario Ave. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery, Town of Lewiston.
Memorials may be made to the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center Orthopedic Department or the American Cancer Society.
