- 1/5/2005 NIAGARA FALLS - Violet G. Cvetan, a former
Niagara Falls, died Saturday in Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa., after a brief illness. She was 84.
Mrs. Cvetan lived in Lebanon, Pa., for the past five years. Before that, she had lived in Avon Park, Fla., since her husband's retirement.
Born Violet Wendt in Lewiston, she attended Lutheran schools in Wheatfield and North Tonawanda High School.
She worked for a short time as a clerk in the Jenss Department Store on Main Street.
Mrs. Cvetan was an active member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a member of its St. Mary's Circle, the Forty-Niners Club, the Home Bureau and Meals on Wheels.
She and her husband of 65 years, Robert, enjoyed camping and traveling.
Other survivors include a daughter, Adele Kemp of Lebanon; two brothers, Reinert Wendt of St. Augustine, Fla., and Herbert Wendt of Avon Park; a sister, Minnie DuBois of Niagara Falls; a grandson; and a great-grandson.
Services will be at 11 A.M. Thursday in DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield
