NORTH TONAWANDA - Hilda E. (nee Walck) Jagow-Wurl, age 94, of North Tonawanda, formerly of Bergholz, was called peacefully to her heavenly home on May 19, 2012 at the Northgate Health Care Facility, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY, on October 21, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Hugo A. and Ella (Haseley) Walck. Hilda was self employed as a Beautician, operating the former Bergholz Beauty Shop, for 35 years. She was an active member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, the Altar Guild, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and a Sunday School teacher. Hilda was predeceased by her first husband, Walter F. Jagow, in 1949 and her second husband, Wilmer E. Wurl, in 1987; also three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include three children, Sharon (Thomas) Montie of North Tonawanda, Linda (Robert) Martin of Hamburg and Charles (Marilyn) Jagow of Sherwood, OR; grandchildren, Timothy (Carrie) Montie, Sara (Nathan) Hembree, Donna (James) Reese, Christy (Michael) Cocci and Corinna (Matthew) Ashmead; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Dubois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Friday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A memorial service will be held in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Road and Luther Street in Bergholz on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Interment in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, or to Niagara Hospice.
