Eileen C. Riggs , 83, of Lincoln died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2009, at St. Clara's Manor. Mrs. Riggs was a homemaker. She had also worked in the office at Deaconess Hospital and S.S. Kresge Co. in Lincoln. She was affiliated with Zion Lutheran Church of Lincoln. She was a member of the church's Ladies Aide, Golden Heirs, Zion Quilters and various card clubs. She was born September 22, 1925, in Beason, IL, a daughter of Gustave C. and Christine Budde Haseley. She married H. Earl Riggs on March 28, 1948, in Lincoln, IL. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1987. Survivors include two sons, Larry (Jackie) Riggs and Kevin (Missy) Riggs , both of Lincoln; one daughter, Joyce (John) Hyde of Springfield, IL; six grandchildren; six step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and 10 step great-grandchildren. Her parents, her husband, a brother, a sister and a step grandson preceded her in death. Mrs. Riggs ' funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 19, at Zion Lutheran Church, Lincoln, with the Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Burial will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church of Lincoln or to a charity of the donor's choice.
