- Martin L. Kroening, age 87 of Cambria, New York, was called to his heavenly home on July 11, 2021. He passed peacefully at his residence, while under the care of his loving family and Niagara Hospice. Born in the Town of Cambria, son of the late Elmer and Elsie (Walck) Kroening. Martin was a lifelong resident and dairy farmer in the town of Cambria. He was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Pekin, the Sanborn Historical Society, The Historical Society of North Germans in Western NY, a 50 year member of Wilson Conservation Club, Cast Iron Seat Association, and Niagara County Milk Producers.Survivors include his wife of almost 65 years: Shirly A. (Schultz) Kroening; their five children: Gail (Bill) Segarra, Steven (Terri) Kroening, Dawn (Joe) Nye, Linda (Kurt) Miller and Jennifer (Chris) Weech; two sisters: Hazel Haseley and Doris DeVantier; twelve grandchildren: Carolyn, Jacob, Michael, Hunter, Kaitlyn, Brittany, Joseph, Alyssa, Anna, William Reed, Jenna, and Britain; two great-grandchildren: Jackson and Emery; and several nieces and nephews.Preceded in death by four brothers: John, Raymond, Herbert and Harry Kroening.Private services were held with the family, on Thursday (July 15) at 11:00 a.m. in the DuBois Funeral Home, Wheatfield, with the Rev. Kurt Schultz, officiating. Interment followed in Hillside Cemetery, Cambria, NY.
