  March 3, 2012 Donald R. Kroening Niagara Gazette SANBORN — Donald R. Kroening, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2012, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital Lewiston, NY. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on May 2, 1952, the son of Rose (Zastrow) Kroening and the late Raymond Kroening. Don graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School in 1970. He was employed with Harrison Radiator, later Delphi, for over 35 years, before retiring in 2005. Don was an Exempt Member of the Pekin Fire Company. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was an avid sportsman. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 38 years, Janelle L. (Wendt) Kroening; three daughters, Melissa (Gordon) Hermanson, Jr. of Sanborn, NY, Kelly (Bryan) Lane of Rochester, NY and Rachel (George) Sisson, Jr. of Amherst, NY; one granddaughter, Kaylee Lane; three brothers, Ronald (Sandra) Kroening, David (Sue) Kroening and Mark (Donna) Kroening, all of Ransomville, NY; one sister-in-law, Debra Kroening; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Don was the brother of the late Gary Kroening. The family will be present on Monday from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 AM at the Community Bible Church, 4168 Church Road, Lockport, NY, with the Rev. Brad Delp officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined.
