  Elaine J. Pfohl, age 79 of Niagara Falls, NY, was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 11, 2017, in Niagara Hospice House, Town of Lockport, NY. Born in Town of Niagara, NY on February 14, 1938, daughter of the late William and Frances (Walck) DeVantier.  Elaine was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family and her flowers. She was a very active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, in Sanborn, where she loved singing hymns. Elaine is survived by her loving husband, Melvin, of 60 years; three children, Donna (Robert) Knights of Penfield, NY, Barbara Walck of Sanborn, NY, and Gary (Karen) Pfohl of Asheboro, NC; four grandchildren, Lindsey Knights, Laura Knights, Megan (Peter) Fendt, and Jenna Walck. She is survived by her sister, Virginia DeVantier and predeceased by her sister, Mabel Beutel.  Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Monday (November 13) from 4-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Thomas Thorstad, in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY on Tuesday (November 14) at 11:00 am. The family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, any memorials be made in Elaine’s name to St. Peter’s Church or School.  Interment in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield, NY.
