N-W retiree enjoyed gardening, family
WHEATFIELD - Gertrude E. Pfuhl, 86, of Wendt Drive, died Thursday (Jan. 9, 1997) at home. She was born July 31, 1910, in Wheatfield, the daughter of Albert and Elsie (Retzlaff) Jagow.
Mrs. Pfuhl retired from housekeeping with the Niagara-Wheatfield School District. She was a lifelong and active member of SI. Peter's Lutheran Church. She also was a member of the Sanbornite Senior Citizens. Mrs. Pfuhl enjoyed gardening, flowers and family life.
She was the widow of Albert N. Pfuhl, who died in 1975. They were married April 22, 1934. She is survived by a son, Herbert C. Pfuhl of Webster; a grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Clifford Pfuhl, and sister of the late Mildred Jagow and Herbert Jagow. She also was predeceased by a grandson.
Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. The Rev. Allen Griep will conduct services at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Entrance Fund at St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

Gertrude E. Pfuhl, 86, of Wendt Drive, an active church member, died Thursday (Jan. 9, 1997) in her home.
The former Gertrude Jagow was born in Wheatfield and was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church
Mrs. Pfuhl was also a member of the Sanbornite Senior Citizens and enjoyed gardening, flowers and family life.
She retired from the Niagara-Wheatfield School District where she was employed in housekeeping.
Her husband, Albert N., died in 1975.
Survivors include a son, Herbert C. of Webster; and a grandson.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
