Old Resident of Wheatfield Dead
Herman W. Strassburg, 62 years old, a life-long resident of the town of
Wheatfield, died at his home on the Ward road at St. Johnsburg yesterday.
The deceased was born Bergholtz. Besides his widow, three sons, Amos and
Herman Strassburg of Buffalo and Albert Strassburg of St. Johnsburg; one
daughter, Mrs. Henry Toellner of North Tonawanda, three brothers, William,
Paul and John Strassburg and three sisters, Mrs. William Krueger, Mrs. Aaron
Moll and Mrs. Ernest Sheibert, survive. The funeral will be held from the
late home at 1 o'clock on Sunday afternoon and a half hour later from the
St. Johnsburg Lutheran Church, the Rev. Mr. Toewe officiating. Burial will
be in the St. Johnsburg cemetery.
