Former Marine served in Korea
BERGEN, N.Y - Harry C. Gardner, 67, of Bergen, died Thursday (Nov. 16, 1989) in Buffalo Veterans Hospital.
He was born in Silver Springs, N.Y.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Batavia, the National Rifle Association, Batavia American Legion Post and the National Lutheran Laymen's League. He also served in the Marines during the Korean Conflict.
Gardner is survived by his wife, Eunice (Mueller) Gardner of Bergen; sons, Peter Gardner and Philip Gardner, both at home; and one sister, Frances Martin of Iowa.
The family will be present from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the H. E. Turner and Company Funeral Home, 51 S. Lake St., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday.
Contributions to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Elevator Fund, 31 Washington Ave., Batavia 14020 or the American Heart Association are acceptable as tribute.
