William D. Snyder, a retired General Motors Corp. worker, died Saturday (Feb. 26, 2000) in his residence after a long illness. He was 69.
Born in Beach Creek, Pa., he excelled in football at Lock Haven High School and Penn State University. He moved to Western New York in 1953 and worked for GM in the Town of Tonawanda.
Snyder was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, the former Hilda L. Beutel; a son, Matthew of Knoxville, Pa.; five daughters, Candace Hoolihan of Ransomville, Cheryl Danielewicz of Oswayo, Pa., Barbara of Tonopah, AZ., Linda Karp of Thurmont, MD., and Christine; his mother, Naomi Tooley of Sykesville, Pa.; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Old Falls Boulevard, North Tonawanda. Burial will be in the church cemetery
