LEWISTON - Ruth G. Schultz, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away, peacefully, on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. We are all truly grateful for the years she spent with us and her love for everyone in her family. Ruth was born on February 2, 1912, in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Walter and Gertrude (Schultz) Meyer. Through her 49 years of work and volunteering at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, she touched many other lives along the way. In 1934 she married Edgar Schultz, who predeceased her in December of 1993. Ruth is survived by two sons, Peter M. (Jane) Schultz of Owego, NY and Jonathan M. (Suzanne) Schultz of Lewiston, NY; four grandchildren, David (Jennifer), Elizabeth (Joshua) Hilton, Jonathan (Jennifer) and Elisabeth (John) Ingoldsby; eight great-grandchildren, Peter, Andrew, Jacob, Elle, Alexa, Catherine, Kevin and Maxwell; one sister, Dorothy Ulrich of Grand Island and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 4-7 PM, at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY. Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, at 9:00 AM, at Zion Lutheran Church, Michigan Avenue and 10th Street, Niagara Falls, NY, with the Rev. Thomas R. Mason officiating. The family is also grateful to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, Our Lady of Peace and the Upper Mountain Fire Company who provided exceptional care during the last weeks of her life. In lieu of flowers,the family requests that memorials be made in her memory to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center Foundation for The Heart Center of Niagara or to Zion Lutheran Church. Interment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
