  NF Gazette JOHN H. GOMBERT NIAGARA FALLS- John H. Gombert, 90, of 1879 Willow Ave., died Saturday (Nov. 11, 1972) at the Niagara Lutheran Home, Buffalo, after a long illness. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, he lived in the Niagara Falls area all his life. He was formerly employed by the Board of Education for 30 years retiring in 1952. Mr. Gombert was a life member of St. Paul-Calvary Lutheran Church. His wife, the late Elsie Heuer Gombert predeceased him in 1964. He is survived by a daughter, Marian L. Gombert; a son, George J. Gombert, both of this city; a sister, Mrs. Louise Ziemendorf of this city, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul-Calvary Lutheran Church, 18th. Street and Cleveland Avenue, Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Paul Calvary Lutheran Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Richardson will officiate. Friends may call at the Cornell and Daggett Chapel Monday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
