- William W. Schildhauer, age 89 of the Town of Niagara, was called to his heavenly home on June 23, 2017, while at the Niagara Hospice House. Born in West Allis, Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Walter and Erna (Meister) Schildhauer. Bill was employed as a program planner at the former Bell Aerospace, in Wheatfield. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore. Bill was predeceased by his wife, Gladys (Haseley) Schildhauer, on August 22, 2007. A FULL OBITUARY WILL BE PUBLISHED along with the dates and times for visitation and services, when complete information is received from the family.

Bill moved to Western New York in 1932, served in the U.S. Army, and was employed as a program planner at Bell Aerospace, retiring in 1988. A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore. Bill was predeceased by his wife, Gladys (Haseley) Schildhauer, on August 22, 2007, and a sister, Ellen (Gerald) Kanouff. Survivors include five children, Gary (Louise), Robert (Denise), Donald (Peggy) Schildhauer, Joyce (Ed) Harris, and Wendy (Kenneth) Pendergast; a sister, Janette (Clarence) Lemley; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Sunday, from 2-5 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Mark Perkins, on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, Wheatfield.
