- Margaret R. Ewald, age 82 of Ransomville, NY, was called to her eternal home to be with her Lord and Savior, on September 8, 2025 while at Niagara Hospice House, in the Town of Lockport, NY. Born January 25, 1943 in Niagara Falls, NY; daughter of the late Harvey and Elvira (Fedeler) Haseley. She was a 1960 graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School, and later was employed at a local bank in Niagara Falls. A lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sanborn. Margaret enjoyed cooking, baking, and collecting recipes.Survivors include her husband, Ralph W. Ewald, whom she married on May 16, 1964; four children, Brett (Sheryl) Ewald of Cape May, NJ, Shawn (Stacey) Ewald of Larchmont, NY, Shane Ewald of Dallas, TX, and Julie (Hristo) Doichev of Leander, TX; four siblings, Helen Buerger, Roy Haseley, Karen Hicks and Nelson Haseley; and four grandchildren, Alex Ewald, Jessica Ewald, Kaissa Doichev, and Viara Doichev.Margaret was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Ewald, an infant daughter, Diane Ewald, and brother, Howard Haseley.Visitation will take place at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY 14132 on Saturday - September 13 from 9-11 a.m. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Kurt Jensen, officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Niagara Hospice, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, or Cape May Bird Conservatory - Butterfly Project. Arrangements are with the DuBois Funeral Home, Wheatfield, NY.
