Mrs. Munkelwitz Funeral Tuesday
Mrs. Laura Munkelwitz of 516 N. Eighth St., Bayport, passed away at her home Saturday morning, Feb. 8, after a long illness. Mrs. Munkelwitz was born in Baytown township Aug. 10, 1904 and was married to Erick Munkelwitz June 25, 1925, at Lake Elmo. They have lived in Bayport for 30 years. Surviving are her husband, one son, Ronald of Bayport; Mrs. Robert MacAlister of Imperial Beach, Cal.; Mrs. Edwin Wikfors of Englewood, N.J., and Karen of Bayport; her mother, Mrs. Ernest Wendt; one brother Leonard Wendt of Stillwater, and one sister, Mrs. William Mariana of Bayport. Three grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran church at Bayport. The Rev. Alf Wattman will officiate. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before the service. Interment will be made in Hazelwood cemetery. Friends may call at the Jones Funeral home.
