At the German Lutheran parsonage
at North Ridge on Saturday evening,
September 26, at 7:30 o'clock, a
very pretty wedding was solemnized
by Rev. J. P. Barkow, when Miss
Hilda Beutel of Lockport, was united
in marriage to Elwln Alliens also of
this city. Attendants were Miss
Velma Borget of Ransomville, and
William Beutel, brother of the bride.
The bride was charming In pencil
blue crepe black satin, with hat to
match and she carried Columbia
roses while the maid of honor wore
pansy crepe de Chine. The bride's
gift to her maid was a set of gold
lingerie clasps, and the groom presented
a gold stlckpin set with rubles
to his best man
Following the ceremony a reception
and shower to 40 guests was
given by Mrs. Clarence Rohriug at
Ransomville, guests being present
from Tonawanda, Youngstown, Lock,
port and Burt. Grimes were played,
and prizes awarded to Miss Regina
Strassburg, Miss Gertrude Schultz
and Clarence. Belclmer. At twelve
o'clock a supper was served, the
house decorations being of pink and
white. Mr. and Mra. Ahrens will reside
at 78 South Transit street, Lockport
