Wilhelmina Witkopp, 77 years old, died suddenly last night at her home on the Ward road, town of Wheatfield. Death was attributed to heart disease, with which she had been ailing recently. Mrs. Witkopp's husband, John Witkopp, died in May. Mrs. Witkopp was born in Germany. For the past 56 years she had resided in the town of Wheatfield. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Otto Stoelting of Cambria and Mrs. Christian Hoffmeister of North Tonawanda; two sons, Carl Witkopp of St. Johnsburg and William C. Goerss, of North Tonawanda; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the residence and half an hour later at the St. John's church, St. Johnsburg. Rev. Walter Thiemecke will conduct the services and interment will be in the St. John's cemetery.
