Martin J. DeVantier of Niagara Road, a life-long member of St. James Lutheran Church, died Saturday (Aug. 12, 1995) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston.
DeVantier, 77, was born in Wheatfield and lived in Bergholz all his life.
He served in Europe with the U.S. Army during World War II.
DeVantier was a member of Wheatfield Post, American Legion, and
the LaSalle Sportsmen's Club and was an exempt member of Bergholz
Volunteer Fire Company.
He worked at National Grinding Wheel in North Tonawanda for 43 years, retiring in 1983.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred E.; two sons, Dale and David, both of Wheatfield; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday in St. James Lutheran Church, Niagara Road and Rohr Street. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery.
