Lifelong church member enjoyed quilting, Bible
Irma E. (DeVantier) Blank. 87, of Lockport Road, died Wednesday (April 13, 1994) at her daughter's home.
A native of Wheatfield, she was born Jan. 28, 1907, the daughter of Albert and Alma (Williams) DeVantier. She was a lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholz. Mrs. Blank loved quilting, gardening and Bible study class. She was a homemaker most of her life.
She was the widow of John N. Blank, who died Jan. 19, 1969. Mrs. Blank is survived by a daughter. Dianne Retzlaff of Sanborn; a son, Darrell Blank of Sanborn; a brother, Alfred DeVantier of Sanborn; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Sandra Blank and was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. The Rev. David B. Menz will conduct services at 11 a.m. Saturday in SI. James Lutheran Church, comer of Rohr Street and Niagara Road, Bergholz. Burial will be in SI. James Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield.

Irma E. Blank, 87, of Lockport Road, a lifelong resident of Wheatfield, died Wednesday (April 13, 1994) in the Lockport Road home of her daughter, Dianne Retzlaff.
The former Irma DeVantier was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholz.
Mrs. Blank taught Bible study classes and enjoyed quilting and gardening.
Her husband, John N., died in 1969.
In addition to her daughter, she is survived by a son, Darrell, and a brother, Alfred DeVantier, both of Sanborn; eight
grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday in St. James Lutheran Church, Rohr Street and Niagara Road, Bergholz. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery
