Helen L. Schimschack, 75, of Bergholz, who was a cook in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, for many years, died Tuesday (May 9, 2000) under Hospice care in her sister's Sanborn home after a long illness.
Born in Lewiston, the former Helen Kroening was a resident of Bergholz for the past 50 years. She was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz, Holy Ghost Ladies Aide, Lutheran Women's Missionary League and the Wheatfield Senior Citizens.
In addition, she had been an active member of the Bergholz Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, serving as an active trustee until recently.
She enjoyed crafts, needlework and flowers.
Her husband, Wilbert, died in 1995.
She is survived by a brother, Clyde Kroening, and a sister, JoAnn Pfohl, both of Sanborn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, at Niagara Road and Luther Street in Bergholz
