Eleanor Lydia (Norie) Garner, lifelong resident of LaSalle, died Sunday, December 14, 2014, at the age of 95. She had resided at the Greenfield Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster for the last eight years. She was involved in the family business, R. Milleville Dairy, all of her working life. She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls for 70 years.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Lydia and Rudolph Milleville; her husband of 60 years, T. Howard Garner and two brothers, Robert and Herbert.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Gail (John) Lawler of Cheektowaga and son, the Rev. Dr. Kent Garner (Linda) of Fairport, NY; five grandchildren, Martin (Nancy), Timothy (Patricia) and John (fiancee Katie Palkowski) Lawler, Marc (Meghan) Garner and Kari (Jason) Carey, and four great-grandchildren, Zoe and Matthew Lawler, Brayden Garner and Jacob Carey.
Viewing hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Ave, Niagara Falls. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cleveland and 18th St., Niagara Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Bergholz.
