  NF Gazette, Dec 29 1957 A. F. Goerss Rites Slated N 0 R T H TONAWANDA - Services for August F. Goerss, 86. of 44 Ransom St. who died Friday (Dec. 27, 1957) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, will be conducted by the Rev. J. Walter Thiemecke at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Fretthold Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Mr Goerss was born in the Town of Wheatfield and lived the greater part of his life in this city. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was a carpenter. He retired 15 years ago. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Louis Rung Goerss, three daughters, Mrs. Theodore Jagow, Niagara Falls, Mrs. Herbert A. Milleville and Mrs. Clarence Witkop, both of this city, two sons, Carl A. Goerss, and Norman W. Goerss of Lockport, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
