  Ruth Vera Ferchen, born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY, was the daughter of the late John and Minnie (Jagow) Ferchen. A life long resident of the town, and lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church in Bergholz. She was employed at Buffalo Bolt Company in North Tonawanda, until her retirement. Ruth enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. She was called to her heavenly home peacefully, while at the North Gate Health Care Facility. Ruth was predeceased by two brothers, Roland and Wilbert Ferchen; and a sister, Gertrude Ferchen. Survivors include two nephews and several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Wednesday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Mark Perkins on Thursday at 10:30 AM in St. James Lutheran Church, across from the funeral home. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church, or a charity of your choice.
