Phyllis L. Ferchen, 69, of Niagara Road, who retired from the Cooperative Fire Insurance Corp. of Bergholz, died Friday (Dec. 5, 1997) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness.
The former Phyllis Wendt was born in Buffalo and moved to Niagara Falls at age 2 with her parents. She moved to Bergholz in 1944.
In 1989, she retired after 10 years with the Cooperative Fire Insurance Corp. She also worked at several other local businesses.
She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; a son, Cary of Niagara Falls; a daughter, Claudia, of Wheatfield; a sister, Audrey Follum; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday in St. James Lutheran Church, Niagara Road and Rohr Street. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery
