- BERGHOLTZ, Dec. 11 - Funeral services for Edward H. Eggert, which were held yesterday afternoon from Fretthold Funeral Home, North Tonawanda, at 2 o'clock and at 2:30 o'clock at the Holy Ghost Lutheran church, this village, were largely attended by relatives, friends and neighbors. The school children sang, "Abide With Me," with Arthur Eggers accompanying at the organ. The Rev. Victor Dahlke officiated. Mr. Eggert was born in this village on June 28, 1896, and attended the Holy Ghost parochial school. He was confirmed in the Holy Ghost Lutheran church. On October 7, 1928, he was united in marriage to Miss Adelia Ferchen. Last Tuesday he became ill and was rushed to Memorial hospital, Niagara Falls, where he died Friday. Mr. Eggert was a member of the Lutheran Layman's league and the 20-year club of the National Grinding Wheel company. North Tonawanda, where he was employed for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Adelia, one daughter, Sylvia, and one son, Noel. Also one brother, William Eggert. Ransomville; three sisters. Mrs. Frank Dutton and Mrs. Carl Behrens, Tonawanda, and Mrs. Roland Bruss, this village. The bearers were Norman DeVantier, Arthur Gombert, Edward Krull, Robert Motchenbough, Harold Pankow and Henry Siegman. Interment was in the Holy Ghost Lutheran cemetery.
