Services for John W. "Scotty" Culbert will be conducted at 11 A.M. Wednesday in Riverside Presbyterian Church, 84th Street and Lindbergh Avenue. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
Culbert, 74, of Point Avenue, died Sunday (Jan. 29, 1989) in Roswell Park Memorial Institute, Buffalo.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, he moved to Niagara Falls in 1947.
Culbert worked as a mason at the former Hooker Chemical and Plastics Corp., now Occidental Chemical, for 37 years, retiring in 1977.
He was a member of the LaSalle Sportsmen's Club, the Retired Men's Service Club and the Frontier Volunteer Fire Company and was an elder of Riverside Presbyterian Church and a member of its choir. He was a soloist at many weddings.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Camann Culbert; two sons, Gordon of Abilene, TX, and Thomas of Bedford, TX; a sister, Mary Gray of Scotland; a half-brother, Daniel Bane of Scotland, and nine grandchildren
