- LOCKPORT - An officer in the Henry Hubbs Hotels Inc., Karl D. Williams, 54, of 714 East Ave., died Sunday. (Feb. 13, 1966) at Mount View Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Williams was born Aug. 28, 1911 in Lockport, son of Albert and Eleanor Williams. He was a graduate of Lockport High School and Union College. He served as vice president and treasurer of the hotel corporation which operates Henry Hubbs Hotel in Niagara Falls. Mr. Williams also was associated with Williams Bros. Department Store here for many years. He was in the U.S. Army transportation corps during World War II and served two years in England. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Lockport, Town and Country Club, Lockport Elks Club and Olcott Yacht Club. Survivors include his widow, the former Elsie Fraser; a brother, Ernst A. Williams, of Lockport. and a niece. Services will be held at 10a.m. Wednesday at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Bros. Home. Very Rev. L. Russell Foster, of Grace Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
