  14 March 1953 Tonawanda News SCHIMSCHACK - Herman Schimschack, 79, Washington St., Bergholtz, died early Saturday morning, March 14, 1953, in his home after a long illness. Born in Germany, he had lived in Bergholtz past 45 years. He was a member of St. James Lutheran church. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Joseph Hardy of Getzville; two step-daughters, Mrs. Wilbert Wolanske and Mrs. Reuben Stenzel, both of Bergholtz; two step-sons, Edward Schimschack and Clarence Wolf of St. Johnsburg; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred Schimschack, of St. Johnsburg. Friends may call at the residence where funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. and at 2:30 p.m. in St. James Church. The Rev. Otto Bruss will officiate. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Bergholtz.
