Following an extended illness with Bright's disease, Robert Eugene Mathew, 14, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Mathew, residing four miles southwest of Wolcott, passed away Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the family home. He had been unable to attend school since last November, being a member of the Freshman class of the Wolcott high school. He recently returned home from the Mayo clinic at Rochester, Minn.
Surviving besides the parents are the following brothers and sisters, Lewis, Monticello; Bernard, and Isidore, Wolcott; Phillip in the navy in the South Seas; Orville, stationed in a camp in Florida; Alice, Mabel, Martha, Grace and Vernon, at home. His maternal grandmother, residing at Kankakee, Ill., also survives
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock at the Sacred Heart church at Remington, with burial in the Sacred Her cemetery.
