- Wheatfield War Vet Dies at 70
NORTH TONAWANDA - George H. Sattelberg, 70, of 3657 Klemer Road, Town of Wheatfield, died Sunday (Nov.. 18, 1962) at Veterans Administration Hospital, Buffalo, after a lengthy illness. He had been hospitalized for four months. Mr. Sattelberg was a veteran of World War I, serving in France with the U.S. Army. He was employed by the Wurlitzer Co. here for more than 45 years before retiring in
1960. He was a member of Tonawandas Post No. 264, American Legion, and of St.
Martin's Lutheran Church. He was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield. Surviving are his widow, Minnie Wrege Sattelberg; two sons, Howard and LaVerne Sattelberg both of Wheatfield, two brothers, John Sattelberg, this city, and Albert Sattelberg, Wheatfield, two sisters, Mrs. Henry Hoyer, Bergholtz, and Mrs. Hubert Goerss, Wheatfield. Services will be conducted at 1:30 pm Wednesday at the Hanp Funeral Home by Rev. Luther Knauff of St Martin's Church. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park.
