  Buffalo Evening News, March 16, 1973 Frank P. Sasse, 93, a supervisor in the construction of the Panama Canal, died Thursday (March 15, 1973) in Meyer Memorial Hospital after a month's illness. Mr. Sasse of 27 Clyde Ave., was born in Dunnville, Ont., in 1880 and throughout his early life worked as a moulder. He supervised foundry work in the construction of the canal from 1906 to 1911 and later worked as a signalman for U.S. Corps of Engineers for 20 years. In recent years he worked with his son in the operation of the Wood Wand Corp. at the Clyde Ave. address. His wife, Alberteen, died in 1961. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. John Schreiner, Mrs. Frank E. Durkee and Mrs., Frank R. May: two sons, Stanley and Howard A. Sasse: a sister, Mrs. Anthony S. Walter and 30 grandchildren. Funeral services will be private.
