Wallace A. Pankow, 78, a retired industrial foreman, died Wednesday (Oct. 15, 1997) in his home on Washington Street.
A native of Wheatfield, Pankow served in the Army during World War II. He was employed in the Bonded and Abrasives divisions of Carborundum Co. for 43 years until he retired as a foreman.
He was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church, where he had served as an elder. He also was an active volunteer with Tri-Community Ambulance Service and enjoyed gardening and cooking.
His wife, Dorothy Cheatwood Pankow, died in 1996.
Survivors include three sisters, Lorriane Heuer of Florida and Jane Heuer and Josephine Moll, both of Wheatfield; a brother, Harold of Wheatfield; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.
Services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday in St. John Lutheran Church, Niagara Falls Boulevard and Ward Road, Wheatfield.
