Notes - RONALD P. WENDT, age 94 of Fairport, NY, formerly of the Town of Lewiston, NY, was called to his heavenly home on October 1, 2017 at Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care, Winter Park, FL. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on September 6, 1923, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Anna (Brietenbach) Wendt. Ronald was employed as a plant engineer at National Grinding Wheel, North Tonawanda, until his retirement. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Niagara Falls. Ronald was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Loretta M. (Bernat) Wendt, on May 1, 2015.
Survivors include a son, Peter (Cheryl) Wendt, and daughter, Amy Porrier; three grandchildren, Pamyla, Emily and Eric; and several great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be held in Acacia Park Cemetery, with the family, with no prior visitation. Arrangements were with the DuBois Funeral Home.
