Wendt, age 97, of Pittsford, NY, formerly of the Town of Lewiston, was called to her heavenly home on May 1, 2015 while at the Highland Hospital in Rochester. Born in Jersey City, NJ on January 9, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Waclaw and Mary (Bryla) Bernat. Loretta was employed as a secretary at Union Carbide until her retirement, and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Ronald P. Wendt; a son, Peter (Cheryl) Wendt and daughter, Amy Porrier; three grandchildren, Pamyla, Emily and Eric; and two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by three sisters, Florence Becker, Irene Krupczak and Lucy Kelly; and a bother, Frank Bernat. Private graveside services will be held in Acacia Park Cemetery with the family, with no prior visitation. Arrangements were with the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME.
