  Notes	North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 6/12/1922 Miss Elizabeth Hoffmeister, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hoffmeister of Whitmer road, and William Wax Wrege, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Wrege, of the same .road, were marri ed yesterday afternoon at St. Jacob's church. Bergholtz, Rev. Otto Brust officiating. Miss Ella Hofmeister s i s t e r of t h e bride, was maid ot honor and Walter Wrege, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Miss Luna Hofmeister, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and Edward B. Schroeder was usher. The bride wore a white satin dress with shadow lace and georgette trimmings and carried a bouquet of white roses. The maid of honor and tlie bridesmaid wore dresses of white and carried bouquets of white peonies. Many valuable presents were receiv- ed by the bridal couple. An evening reception was given for relatives and friends at the couple's residence Mr. Wrege and the former Elizabeth Hoffmeister were wed June 11. 1922. in St James Lutheran Church by the late Rev. Ott,o Bruss. Their attendants were Mr and Mrs. Edward Schroeder. Mrs Lonia Duerr and Walter Wrege. Mr. Wrege retired 10 years ago. after working 45 years at the Carborundum Corp. The couple are members of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church. They enjoy gardening as a hobby. The Wreges have two children, a daughter. Mrs. George (Jean) Phillips, and a son. William Jr.. eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

  North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 6/13/1985 WREGE Elizabeth A. (nee Hoffmeister) Wrege, 86, of North Tonawanda, Wedneday (June 12, 1985) at the Niagara Lutheran Home in Buffalo. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, she lived in North Tonawanda most of her life and was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She was the wife of the late William F. Wrege, Sr., who died in 1976. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jean D. Phillips and a son, William F. (Luella) Wrege Jr., both of North Tonawanda; eight grand c h i l d r e n ; e i g h t g r e a t grandchildren; two sisters, Christine DeVantier of Niagara Falls and Ella Schroeder of North Tonawanda and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from St. Mark Lutheran Church, the Rev. Thomas K. Spahn will officiate. Interment White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery. If so desired, memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church. (13-14)
