After an evening of cards, refreshments were served to the 28 guests.

  Niagara Gazette - 8/30/1972 Mrs. Maria M. Wendt, 86, of 5277 Townllne Road, Pekln, died Tuesday (Aug. 29,1972) in Memorial Medical Center after a long iUness. A native of Bergholtz, she had resided in Pekln since 1890. She was a lifelong member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church. She was the wife of the late Edward A. Wendt, who died in 1957. Survivors include three sons, Alfred a., Norman J., and Edmund R. Wendt, and a sister, Mrs. Fred (Rachel) Van DeWalter, all of Pekin. Ten grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at St. An- drew's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Albert H. Gaal of- ficiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Home, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, from 7 to 9 p.m. today, and from 2 (End of copy)
