  27 January 1941 Tonawanda News Gustav Schendel, 82, died yesterday at his home on the Falls boulevard, town of Wheatfield. He was a life-long resident. He is survived by a son, Henry of Wheatfield; six daughters, Mrs. Philip Krull of Clarence, Mrs. Christ Krull, of Cambria, Mrs. Walter Errick of Gasport, Mrs. Fillmore Johnson of Lansing, Mich., Mrs. George Mueller and Mrs. Edward Ordiway of Wheatfield; 24 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Rites will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 at the residence and at 3 o’clock at the St. Paul’s Lutheran church, Rev. F. A. Hinners officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul’s cemetery.
