  Tonawanda News - 2/4/1991 Proefrock, Eckhardt W. Proefrock, age 80, of the Town of Wheatfield, Wednesday (January 23, 1991) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a length illness. Mr. Proefrock was an employee of the Carborundum Co. for thirty-five years, member of St. John's Fire Co., the Wheatfield Senior Citizens and St. John Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Edna Proefrock; two sons, Donald (Barbara) Proefrock, both of Wheatfield and a daughter, Mrs. Randall (Jean) Hein of Menomonie, WI; several grandchildren; a brother, Howard (Florence) Proefrock and a sister, Mrs. Harold (Doris) Sitzmann, both of CA; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda, Thursday 7-9 pm and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. from St. John Lutheran Church; he the Rev. Ronald D. Oravec officiating. Interment in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. If so desired, memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church Debt Fund.
