LOCKPORT—Funeral services will be held Saturday
for William A. Beccue, 66, of E. Lake Road, Wilson, who
died Tuesday (August 6, 1963) in Inter-Community, Memorial
Hospital, Newfane, after being injured by a horse
last week.
Mr. Beccue was taken to-the
hospital Friday with internal
injuries after a horse he was
riding t h r e w him and then
stepped on his abdomen.
Born in Lockport, March 13,
1897, he was the son of August
and Albertina Wendt Beccue.
After graduating from Lockport
public school he became
employed by Simonds Saw and
Steel Co. He founded the William
A. Beccue Contracting Co.
nine years later and operated
it until his death.
A boating and water enthusiast,
Mr. Beccue developed Beccue
Island at Wilson in 1948.
He also operated Beccue Boat
Basin.
He was u charter member of
the Wilson Yacht Club, past
director of the Wilson Lions
Club and a member of Trinity
Lutheran C h u r c h , Lockport,
and the Lutheran Laymen's
League.
Surviving are his widow,
Priscilla; a son, Edwin J. Beccue
of Wilson; a daughter, Mrs.
Jeannette S. Burton of Kenmore,
and a granddaughter.

Prudden a n d K a n d t Funeral
Home. A service will be held
at 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev.
Ernest Heuer of Trinity Lutheran
Church officiating. Burial
will be in Trinity Lutheran
Cemetery.
