- Betty Jane Brown (nee Toellner) age 90, of Wheatfield, NY, was called peacefully to her heavenly home on October 22, 2024 at the Niagara Hospice House. Born the eldest daughter of the late Hildagard (nee Siegmann) and Clifford Toellner in Wheatfield, NY, she lived a life full of love and purpose. Betty was a life-long member of St. John Lutheran Church, in Wheatfield, and also a member of the of St. Johnsburg Fire Company - Ladies Auxillary. Betty volunteered at the Das Haus Museum in Bergholz, and enjoyed traveling with her sister, Joann. Her legacy of kindness and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her.Betty was a devoted mother to her daughter, Linda (Gerald) Kroening of Sanborn, and her son, James (Deborah) Brown of Florida. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Jason (Courtney) Kroening, Lindsay (Shawn) Chaples, Jennifer, Christopher, Joshua Brown and Nicole (Anthony) Guinta. She took great joy in being a great-grandmother to Avery, Samuel Kroening and Brody, Annabelle Chaples. Sister to the late Joann Durick and Jerry Toellner. She is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Monday, October 28 from 4-7 p.m..Services will be conducted by the Rev. Michael Borgstede, on Tuesday, October 29, at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Lutheran Church, corner of Niagara Falls Blvd and Ward Road. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
