- Mildred Werth, 90, a native of Wheatfield, died Monday (June 22, 1998) in Crestwood Nursing Home, where she lived since 1955.
The former Mildred Stenzel was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church and a member of the Ladies Aid Society and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Mrs. Werth also was a charter member of the auxiliary of the St. Johnsburg Fire Company and a member of the Wheatfield Senior Citizens.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting and gardening.
Her husband, Louis Werth, died in 1967. He was a former highway superintendent in Wheatfield.
Survivors include a son, Donnel of Wheatfield; a sister, Beatrice Sahr of North Tonawanda; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in St. John Lutheran Church, Niagara Falls Boulevard and Ward Road. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
