Stoeltlng-Stenzel
A very pretty wedding was solemnized
last Saturday evening at 7
o'clock in St. John's Evangelical
Lutheran church, St. Johnsburg,
when Miss Mathilda Stenzel, youngest
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Steneel, Niagara Falls boulevard, became
the bride of Arthur Stoeltlng,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius C. Stoeltlng,
of Bergholte. The Rev. J. waiter
Thiemecke performed the ceremony
in a lovely setting of spring {lowers,
Including roses, peonies and various
mixed bouquets.
The bride, who was given in marriage
by her father, entered the
church to the strains of Lohengrin's
weddl'ng march, played by Mr. Houbner.
T. Biaglow rendered two tenor
solos, "O Perfect Love" and "Jesus,
Savior, Pilot Me." The bride was
lovely in a gown of ivory satin
with insertions of lace made on princess
lihes with long tight sleeves fin«
lahed In points over the hands. Her
long veil, which had a halo cap, was
elaborately trimmed with tiny pearls
and orange blossoms and fell to a
beautiful lace point. She carried a
shower bouquet of calla lilies, white
roses, baby's breath and streamers,
caught with lilies of the valley. Her
slippers were of white satin trimmed
with orange blossoms. Miss Margaret
Pensilen, cousin of the bride
and maid of honor, was attired in
peach moussalln* de sole, floor
length. She carried an arm bouquet
of talisman roses and baby's breath,
tied with peach satin ribbon.
The bridesmaids, Miss Edna Heuer
and Miss Cordla Stoeltlng, sister of
the groom, were gowned In dresses of
the same design as the maid of
honor. They both wore turquoise blue
and carried an arm bouquet of pink
roses and baby's breath; tied with
blue satin ribbon. They wore white
sandals and flesh colored hose. The
bride presented her attendants with
rhinestone head bands and a double
string of pearls with a rhinestone
clasp. The littlee flower girl, Beverley
Jean Ellman. niece of the bride, wore
a pink "Shirley Temple" dress and a
head band to match. She carried a
basket of pink sweet peas.
The groom was attended by his
cousin, Waldemar Camam, as best
man, and Carl Stenzel and Erwin
Stoeltlng acted as ushers.
The bride's mother wore a flowered
orchid chiffon dress with white accessories.
The groom's mother wore
a pink flowered chiffon voile with
white accessories. Each wore a corsage
of pink roses and white sweet
peas..
Following the ceremony a reception
was held at the home of the wide
for the immediate members of the
families. Covers were laid for 25
guests, each place being marked with
an attractive bride and-groom-piace
card. The bride's table was set for
nine and was centered with a threetier
wedding cake, over which hung
a large white wedding bell. The
house was decorated throughout with
the season's flowers.
Mr. and Mrs. Stoeltlng left on a
week's motor trip to Washington,
D. C, and other points.
Prenuptlal affairs for the bride
were a crystal shower given by Mrs.
T. Blgalow, a variety shower by Miss
Edna Heuer, a green kitchen shower
by Miss Margaret Pensilen, a linen
shower by Mrs..Erwin Stoeltlng and
a variety shower by the Misses
Lorena and Cordla Stoeltlng.
