NORTH TONAWANDA-Louis
Werth, 59, of 6868 Ward Road,
Wheatfield, died Thursday (July
20, 1967) in DeGraff Memorial
Hospital after a brief illness.
He was a lifelong Wheatfield
resident and a member of St.
John Lutheran Church and the
Luther Laymen's League. He
was a former chief of the St.
Johnsburg Volunteer Fire Co.
and a former town highway superintendent,
for 18 years.
Mr. Werth was a member of
the Wheatfield Republican Club
and the Niagara County Highway
Superintendents Association.
Survivors include his wife,
the former Mildred Stenzel; a
son, Donnel Werth, Sanlborn;
a brother, Raymond Werth, Niagara
Falls; three sisters, Mrs.
Elizabeth Redding and Mrs.
William (Ruth) Wiegand, both
of Wheatfield, and Mrs. William
(Alma) Ostwald, Phoenix, Ariz.;
three grandchildren and several
nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 3 p.m.
Sunday in the Fretthold Funeral
Home, the Rev. Clarence W.
Rabe officiating. Burial will
be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the. funeral
home.
