John G. Strassburg, 66, of 296 Thompson street, died last night in the DeGraff Memorial hospital. Born in the town of Wheatfield, he had resided in North Tonawanda the past 40 years. Surviving are his wife, Ella H., nee Genet; a son, Harold of North Tonawanda; two daughters, Misses Edna and Elda, at home; three brothers: Philip, of Sanborn; Christian, of North Tonawanda and William of Pekin, and six sisters: Mrs. Herman Meilke, Mrs. Edward Wendt and Mrs. Fred Vanderwater of Pekin, Mrs. William Strassburg of Santa Monica, Calif., Mrs. Augusta Pfanner of Tonawanda and Mrs. Louis Horacek of Rochester. Rites will be held Sunday afternoon at two from the residence and at 2:30 from the St. Matthew's church, with the Rev. Carl Frankenstein officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew's cemetery.
