Betty E. Strassburg, a retired Niagara Falls school nurse, died Wednesday (May 21, 1997) in her Tawny Drive home after a lengthy illness and while under the care of Niagara Hospice. She was 69.
Mrs. Strassburg was born Betty Curtright in Lockport and had lived in Canada as a young child before moving to Niagara Falls at the age of 15
She was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and Niagara County Community College.
Mrs. Strassburg worked for 22 years as a registered school nurse for the Niagara Falls Board of Education, retiring in 1994.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Niagara Falls.
She enjoyed reading, golfing and knitting.
Mrs. Strassburg is survived by her husband, Myrlin; two sons, Loren of Las Vegas and Scott W.; a brother, Hinton Curtright of New Hampshire; and two grandchildren.
Private services will be held.
