- SANBORN - Funeral, services will be held Saturday at the Pike arid Jones Funeral Home here for Burnet W. V. Strasburg, of 6170 Ward Road, who died Wednesday (June 11, 1969) in Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital after a short illness Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery, Pekin. He was the superintendent of maintenance for the Niagara-Wheatfield Central School District Mr. Strasburg was a native of the Town of Wheatfield and operated a farm until 1957, When he went to work for the maintenance department at Niagara-Wheatfield Central School. He became superintendent of the department a year ago. Survivors include his wife, Florence; a son, Roy L. Hopper, of Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Smith , of Bergholtz, and Mrs. Robert Laese, of Lockport; a. brother, Robert. N., of Niagara Falls; five sisters, Mrs. Fred Wermuth of Youngstown, Mrs. Elmore Herbst of Lockport, Mrs. Lewis Schworm of.Gasport, and Mrs. Clinton Hermanson and Mrs. Leslie Read, both of Sanborn, and nine grandchildren. Memorial services will, be conducted tt the funeral home Friday at 8 p.m. by the IOOF Lodge 202 and at 8:30 p.m. by the Sanborn Volunteer Fire Co.
