EDWARD J. STRASSBURG
NORTH TONAWANDA -
Edward J. Strassburg, 83, of
240 Fredericka St, died today
(April 24, 1972) at DeGraff
Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
He was life long resident of
this city. He owned and
operated the Strassburg
Hardware Store in Oliver
Street from 1927 until 1959.
He was a member of St.
Mark Lutheran Church,
Lutheran Laymen's League,
and Gratwick Hose Co. No. 6.
He is survived by his wife,
Grace; a son, Martin N.
Strassburg; a daughter, Mrs.
Leo (Lorraine) Schweitzer;
two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude
Ostwald and Mrs. Dorothy
Berndt, all of this city; two
brothers, August Strassburg,
Town of Wheatfield and Albert
Strassburg, this city, and three
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held
at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St.
Mark Lutheran Church with
the Rev. Edward Goehner
officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mark
Lutheran Cemetery, Town of
Wheatfield. Friends may call
from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday at
the Fretthold Funeral Home.
